Connect Stripe to accept card payments

Connecting Stripe lets you charge cards on the spot and accept online payments on invoices. Only admins can connect Stripe, and setup happens through Stripe's own onboarding flow.

  1. Open the Stripe integration

Open Settings, expand Integrations, and tap Integration Marketplace. Select Stripe from the list to open its integration page.

  2. Add your business address if asked

If your organisation doesn't have a business address on file yet, you'll be prompted to enter one before Stripe setup can start. Enter your address and save. This is required because Stripe uses it to confirm which country your account operates in.

  3. Start Stripe setup

Tap Connect Stripe. If Stripe isn't available in your country yet, you'll see a message telling you so instead of the button. Stripe Connect currently covers Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and most of Europe.

  4. Complete Stripe's onboarding form

You'll be taken to Stripe's own onboarding pages to enter your business and banking details. Fill these in and submit. This step happens on Stripe's site, not inside Servicebay.

  5. Check your connection status

Back in Servicebay, the Connection card shows your status: Not connected, Pending, or Connected. If it shows Pending, tap Complete setup to pick up where you left off, or Refresh status to check whether Stripe has finished activating your account.

  6. Confirm you're ready to charge

Once the status badge shows Connected, you can accept payments from customers in the Add Payment dialog and on public invoice links. Tap Open Stripe Dashboard any time to view your Stripe account directly.

  7. Tips

If payouts are enabled, Stripe sends funds to your connected bank account automatically. If you started setup but want to abandon it, use Cancel setup on the Stripe integration page to disconnect the pending account and start fresh.
