Capture a customer signature

Servicebay captures a customer's signature while you're creating a job, not after it's finished, so it's on file from the start. The signature is tied to your Terms of Service and shows up on your Service Report and Service Agreement documents.

  1. Start a new job

Open a new job as you normally would and fill in the job details.

  2. Find the Customer Signature card

Look for the Customer Signature card, with the description "Agree to terms of service." It shows "Click to Sign" until a signature is captured.

  3. Review the Terms of Service

Tap the Terms of Service link tile if you or the customer want to read them before signing.

  4. Have the customer sign

Tap the Customer Signature card to open the signing screen, titled "SIGN BELOW", with the note "By signing here, you agree to the Terms of Service:" Hand your device to the customer and have them sign in the box with their finger. If they make a mistake, tap Clear and have them sign again.

  5. Save the signature

Tap Save to store it with the job. Double-check it looks right before saving.

  6. See it on the finished job

The signature shows up on the Ticket Information screen (tap the Customer Signature entry to view it) and prints automatically on the Service Report and Service Agreement PDFs, alongside a Signature and Date line.

  7. Tips

If the customer isn't around when you create the job, you can leave the signature card blank for now. It will simply show "No signature" on the printed documents until it's captured.
