Can't sign in? Reset your password

If you're locked out of Servicebay, resetting your password takes just a couple of minutes from the sign-in screen.

  1. Tap Forgot Password

On the Servicebay sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password. It sits just above the Login button, right below the Password field.

  2. Enter your email address

In the dialog that opens, enter the email address you use for Servicebay and tap Submit.

  3. Check your email

You'll see a message telling you to "check your emails and follow the instructions to reset your password." Look for that email, and check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.

  4. Set a new password

Follow the link in the email to create a new password, then return to Servicebay and sign in with it.

  5. Understand the sign-in error messages

These two messages appear on the main sign-in form itself, not inside the Forgot Password dialog. "No user found with that email address" means the email doesn't match a Servicebay account. Servicebay accounts sign in with email and password only, so make sure you're using the exact address your organisation added you with. "Access temporarily disabled due to many failed attempts" means too many failed sign-in attempts have locked the account temporarily; resetting your password can unlock it sooner than waiting it out. The reset dialog itself only ever shows the success message from the previous step, or a generic "There was an error resetting your password. Please try again" if something goes wrong.

  6. Already signed in and just want to change your password?

You don't need the Forgot Password flow. Go to your account settings and use Change Password instead, which asks for your current password first.

  7. If your account has two-factor authentication

If your organisation has Two-Factor Authentication turned on for your account, you'll still be asked for a verification code from your authenticator app after your new password. Resetting your password doesn't remove this step.
