Set default quote terms and messages

Setting a default message and terms once means every new quote starts pre-filled with your standard wording. You can still edit either field on an individual quote before sending it.

  1. Open Quote Settings

Go to Settings, open the Payments section, and tap Quotes.

  2. Set your default message

Enter your Default Message: the text that appears on every new quote and is displayed on the quote itself.

  3. Set your default terms

Enter your Default Terms: this is used for all new quotes and shows at the bottom of the quote.

  4. Turn on Reply-To (optional)

If you want customer replies to quote emails to land in a specific inbox rather than your regular account email, turn on Enable Reply-To by Default and enter the address under Reply-To Email.

  5. Save your changes

Tap Save. The new defaults apply to quotes you create from now on; existing quotes aren't changed retroactively.

  6. Tips

These defaults only set the starting text. You can still change the message or terms on any individual quote without affecting the saved defaults.
